From the Organisers
Africa has so many issues that need addressing, many of which impact on societies most vulnerable people – the young and the old. Life is hard if you are poor and African. Enduro Africa contributes to Africa by only working in association with charities that can demonstrate success in their mission to help save and improve lives in South Africa. By joining us on this life changing event you will donate a minimum of £1,500 from your overall sponsorship target direct to the charities we support. That makes a huge difference to the lives of people that desperately need our help.

113 people took part in Enduro Africa 2006, we have 150 participants busy raising funds for our 2007 event and are aiming to break the 200 rider mark for 2008. We have to do all we can to help these worthwhile causes as so much can be achieved with the help of people like you. Without well balanced, educated and healthy children South Africa would have no future. I'm proud to be in the position I am now in, organising fantastic adventure events with strong, respected and ethical foundations. I know that together with the great causes we support Enduro Africa is creating real change in Africa. Please get involved and be part of our success - together we really can change lives.

Enduro Africa 2006 supplied 114 bikes to Riders for Health and an additional £80,706.22 towards the running costs of those bikes. Thanks to everyone that believes in us and our work. The figures for the 2007 Africa event will be posted once the donations have been counted in early December 2007.

Simon Smith, Enduro Africa

From Africa
The Enduro Africa dream is now a proven model and it's incredible what we all achieved together – it was an amazing experience to have been able to deliver on such a huge promise. I know the charity are really grateful for all the hard work and sacrifice the many hundred's of volunteers put in. In reality the rally is a world-class product, it's the most exciting project I've been involved with. After experiencing Enduro India, courtesy of my good friend Simon Smith I was very excited to unleash Enduro Africa.

What a trip we had! 113 riders took up the challenge and we had some amazing moments as we tackled the mighty South African terrain on our incredible little AG200's. The team and the riders all had their ups and downs, that's what Enduro Africa is all about - and getting back in one piece of course! The press and TV went mad for this event and the ride has inspired countless thousands of people and changed tens of thousands of lives – amazing.

I am an African and the thought of donating such a huge amount of money to these 3 incredible charities is something that one could only dream of being a part of. The passion of the Enduro India and Enduro Africa projects has been infectious and possibly for the first time in my life I am doing something that is not about money, it's about making a difference and being part of the success story. The Eastern Cape, birthplace and home of Nelson Mandela is where all the action will start and finish. I am very proud to be supporting UNICEF, Sentebale – The Princes’ Fund for Lesotho and the Nelson Mandela Children's Fund. The route is truly off road this year and is a testing adventure along the most demanding coastline in the world - the Wild Coast. 2007 is sold out and 08 is well on the way, don't hang about, come and help us to save lives.

My business Cherry Adventures is an off road adventure company based in Port Elizabeth, SA. This gives me plenty of opportunity to develop the fantastic Enduro Africa route. Organising the South African side of the event is a monumental task, in fact without the generous support of the South African people it would be impossible. A big thank you to my team and sponsors for all of your help so far – I salute you all. The last word has to go to my partner; the guy who came up with the Enduro Africa concept - Simon Smith. Without his vision and passion we would not have realised this dream... Thank You Si.
